DMC Climate Map
Powered by 10-year average climate data
Weather changes day to day, but climate patterns can be measured. That’s why R24k offers a 10-year average climate map as a paid feature. It gives DMCs the ability to answer client questions with data instead of guesswork – whether they ask about sunshine, rainfall, or seasonal patterns.
Why Add Climate Intelligence
- Answer confidently – no more vague estimates, give travellers facts.
- Show climate visually – easy-to-read colour maps by month and location.
- Plan smarter trips – avoid rainy seasons or highlight best months for certain experiences.
- Differentiate your agency – very few DMCs can show this level of insight.

How It Works
The DMC Climate Map comes with a built-in geolocator, so you can quickly search for any destination. Once selected, you can switch between five different climate layers to see how conditions change throughout the year:
- Average daily temperature
- Average night temperature
- Maximum daily temperature
- Minimum daily temperature
- Total precipitation per month
Each dataset is based on 10 years of climate averages, displayed month by month and colour-coded for easy comparison. The map integrates directly into the Travel Manager, so climate insights are always at hand when building quotations.
How We Built It
The DMC Climate Map isn’t powered by some tourist weather feed. It’s built on Copernicus ERA5 reanalysis data, the same dataset used by scientists and meteorological institutes worldwide. We developed specialised scripts to extract 10 years of hourly climate data, filtered it by bounding box, applied country boundaries, and calculated monthly averages. The result: a high-resolution climate map designed for DMCs — unique, accurate, and not available out of the box.

Available as a Paid Feature
The DMC Climate Map is one of the many advanced features available in R24k Travel Manager. Built with a 10-year average dataset as the role model for Australia, it shows how climate intelligence can support better planning. Learn more about the complete platform on our DMC travel software page.
Conclusion
With the climate map, you don’t just sell itineraries – you deliver insights based on a decade of real data. For DMCs that want to stand out, it’s a powerful way to support clients with facts and build deeper trust.
